DP Animation Maker is intended to generate 2D animated screen backgrounds, animated GIFs and standard videos.

I don’t find its interface very nice. In fact, it’s somewhat boring if you consider the purpose of the tool. If you want to explore the product’s potential, it’s good to know that it comes with some example projects.

The application is quite easy to use. The whole idea is based on creating slides and adding different kinds of objects to them. Fortunately, there’s a huge library containing animated objects, particle systems, animated brushes, airbrushes, text and even interactive objects. Some of the available objects are great, such as light and water effects. Likewise, it’s also possible to import other pictures. Moreover, these objects can be assigned to customized animation behaviors. All the changes you make can be immediately previewed in a WYSIWYG fashion. Once your animation looks as you expected, it’s possible to export it to various video formats, such as AVI, MOV, WMV, PNG and GIF. Moreover, the tool also supports popular web formats as HTML5 as well as standalone executable files.

All in all, DP Animation Maker is recommended to create 2D unpretentious animations. Besides, it’s ideal to create simple animated slideshows. Just a tip for you: the choice of objects depends on the context and the purpose of your animation. Try not to use too many, otherwise your whole project might get ruined.

Pros

  • It’s easy to use
  • It has a huge object library
  • It supports various output formats
  • It allows you to customize animation effects

Cons

  • The interface isn’t very attractive

Hey, I'm just "the guy next door and YouTube ready", and I'm having a lot of fun with this animation program, the effects are numerous and delightfully realistic. I've created some really cool pictures with some ancient Chinese paintings. I've put movement into an already "Living Painting". So much fun!
